Founded in 1873, the Massachusetts College of Art and Design is the oldest and largest public college of art and design in the United States. The college offers a range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs in art, design, and art education, and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
The college's campus is located in the Fenway-Kenmore neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, and includes the Tower Building, the main college building; the Bakalar & Paine Galleries, which house the college's art collection; and the MassArt Auction, an annual event that raises funds for the college.
