Nabors Business Scholarship: Global Business Development Scholarship
The purpose of the Fund will be to provide scholarships for undergraduate students in the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. The gift is made in honor of former Nabors CEO Gene Isenberg. Two categories of scholarships will be provided from the Fund. Students from any major in the Isenberg School will be eligible for consideration.
The two scholarships are:
GLOBAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIP
As a corporation conducting business on a global scale, Nabors recognizes the need for students to gain hands on experience in an international business environment. For this specific purpose we propose a scholarship that will facilitate student development in the area of global business acumen. Recognizing that we live in a global economy, it is key to provide opportunities for students to develop skill sets which will allow them to be successful in this business environment. These scholarships will be targeted at creating opportunities for Isenberg students to enhance their business degree via pursuits such as, but not limited to, studying abroad, completion of international internships or internships with an international company in the U.S., and working in close cooperation with the Isenberg School’s other activities focused on building a better understanding of global business. Students who are combining their studies of business with supplementary interdisciplinary studies in the STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) are particularly encouraged to apply.

Eligible recipients will be first generation college students, international students or those who are underrepresented in the Isenberg School of Management. The Fund Administrator will have full authority to determine the award amounts and the number of scholarship recipients each year, which will be dependent upon the annual distribution and the cost of attending UMass Amherst. However, once a student receives his/her first award, every attempt will be made to ensure that subsequent awards will be no less than the original award amount, provided funds are available. The scholarship will be awarded to an incoming freshman and may be renewed as long as the recipient continues to meet the requirements and may be used for tuition, fees, room and board, and other degree-related expenses.
If no student meets the requirements in a given year, the scholarship may be awarded to international students who are currently enrolled in the Isenberg School of Management with a GPA of 3.25 or higher, and who have indicated they are in need of emergency financial support in order to continue their studies. Student Parent Programs - Graduate Student Child Care Subsidy Program
Student Parent Programs awards funding to graduate student parents to help defray the cost of child care expenses and help students focus on their educational goals. Eligibility for funding is limited to student parents with documented financial need (as determined by Financial Aid Services and Student Parent Programs) with current or anticipated eligible child care expenses. As you complete the application, please consider all options that will allow you the best chance of success in your program this year. Your child care plan may include a mix of several types of child care options – please include all that you anticipate utilizing this year.
The child care subsidy is awarded to student parents as a reimbursement for documented expenses or directly to the child care provider. This subsidy is for graduate students only. If you are an undergraduate student, please apply using the undergraduate child care subsidy application.
To qualify for child care subsidies, student parents must be actively enrolled at UMass Amherst as an undergraduate or graduate student on a part-time or full-time basis and must meet the income eligibility criteria for program participants – similar to Pell grant income eligibility, determined through Financial Aid Services and federal tax documents.
We primarily fund child care through licensed providers however, some funding may be available for other types of child care. Please note that the majority of our funds are restricted by our funding source to licensed or accredited providers only.
Child care expenses can include daycare, pre-k, before and after school programs, and summer child care through EEC licensed or nationally accredited providers. Some babysitting, home-based non-EEC licensed care, and other informal child care may also qualify for limited funding.
Subsidies will be determined based on applicant demonstrated need, enrollment status and may be adjusted based on funds available within the program or a change to applicant’s status.
Please do not apply for this opportunity if you will not have a dependent child in your care at least part-time more...

Eligible recipients will have demonstrated financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5. Preference will be given to residents of Massachusetts. The scholarship will be awarded to one first-year student and renewed as long as the student continues to meet the above criteria. The scholarship may be renewed up to three times for an undergraduate student and up to four times if the recipient enrolls in the 5-year Master’s in Accounting or Master’s in Taxation program or their successors. The minimum annual award is $4,000. As the annual distribution grows, it is the Donors’ wish that fewer annual awards be made to make the greatest impact possible based on the available distributions.

Undergraduate Child Care Support - Spp And Ccampis
Student Parent Programs awards funding to undergraduate student parents to help defray the cost of child care expenses and help students focus on their educational goals. Eligibility for funding is limited to student parents with documented financial need (as determined by Financial Aid Services.) with current or anticipated eligible child care expenses.
This subsidy is for undergraduate students only.
To qualify for child care subsidies, student parents must be actively enrolled at UMass Amherst as an undergraduate or graduate student on a part-time or full-time basis and must meet the income eligibility criteria for program participants – similar to Pell grant income eligibility, determined through Financial Aid Services.
